Video about our visit to the Musem
Our visit to the Museum of the Bank of Estonia
Our team has visited the Museum of the Bank of Estonia, which is one of the first new museums of re-independent Estonia. The permanent exposition of the Eesti Pank Museum was opened just before the 5th anniversary of the Estonian kroon on 12 June 1997. We have seen permanent exibition "Estonian currency from the Mark to the Euro" , which was compiled from four Estonian Currencies - the mark, which celebrated the beginning of Estonian independence; the kroon, which was in circulation until 1940; the second kroon, which was issued in 1992;and finally, the euro, which we are going to adopt in the near future.

Estonian Monetary System
In Estonia the central bank performs its constitutional function - to maintain the stability of the national currency, the kroon, - by applying a fixed-exchange-rate-system based monetary policy.
The Estonian kroon is fixed against the euro at 1 EUR = 15.6466 EEK.
As a member state of the European Union, Estonia has an obligation to adopt the euro.
